Business and Community Partnerships

Ivymount students in the Secondary School, including the School to Work Post High School, Autism, and Multiple Learning Needs models have the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of work environments doing a multitude of jobs.  From these various experiences, students are able to learn about the type of work and environment where they are most suc­cessful.  Through partnerships with over 35 community jobsites, Ivymount students acquire pragmatic educational and vocational skills, positive work attitudes, and constructive workplace behaviors to help insure their successful transitions.  Through the use of technology and travel training, students are able to increase their level of independence as they prepare for their futures. This success is reliant on the positive partnerships we have with our community jobsites.  We are grateful for their support.
